I hired Devries Construction & Renovation to do a complete kitchen makeover in the spring of 2016. This included cupboards, flooring, windows, wall repairs, fix plumbing problems, construct a modern pantry, painting, install new lighting, range hood, dishwasher and microwave. All was done in a timely fashion and on budget. Mr. DeVries took the time to go over every detail of design, making cost adjustments and giving professional advice where needed. This Company is professional, has courteous knowledgeable employees that provide quality work and customer service. At a later date DCR also repaired a leak in my basement bedroom wall and repaired the area inside. Previously, have built a single detached garage for me. I have received no end of compliments on my kitchen and garage. I highly recommend DeVries Construction and Renovation for all interior and exterior projects.

My project with DeVries Construction was to add a one-bedroom basement suite in my smaller 1941 bungalow. I went with DCR because of the price and sound references. Dave was thoroughly familiar with the City of Winnipeg’s permit system and took the project through all the required permits. Dave is a gifted communicator and brings extensive knowledge to the project. As his team worked through the renovation, Dave was able to make a few changes to the design that were a definite plus, Including moving plumbing walls for more space to the kitchen and bathroom. Also adding a nice closet space that was not in the original design. There were two levels to the concrete floor and, instead of raising the lower one as was spelled out in the design, Dave realized he could lower the higher one to gain 2 – 3” ceiling height in the suite. To Gain space in the shower due to a bulkhead, we went custom-made and the tile work is beautiful. I was not experienced with choosing materials and colors so I went entirely with Dave’s recommendations. The result met my best expectations. I really appreciated the attention to detail because I wanted this to be a first-class suite for my prospective tenant. Dave continues to follow up on any deficiencies that crop up. I highly recommend Dave and his crew at DCR.
